Jujutsu Incremental Techniques Tier List

S through D for the slot you actually press — not a copied Trello from another jujutsu idle.

Techniques Tier List

Techniques are the first slot in Jujutsu Incremental. Candescent Games tells you to roll them; official art sells the identities that sit on top of them. This list ranks what the kit does in raids, quests, and training, not how famous the silhouette is on a thumbnail.

Read rolling before you spin. Pair a lock with a Clan from clans and a Trait from traits. Full loadouts live on best builds.

S — lock and build around it

High-output cursed energy (blindfold / cyan-eye lane). Official key art puts this identity on fire. In incremental terms that is a raid nuke: long-range, readable telegraphs, EXP that does not require you to stand in the boss. Keep it. Put a sustain Clan behind it so phase 3 does not delete you.

Disaster-pressure cursed spirit (volcanic lane). The roster art includes a burning spirit for a reason. Chip, fear, room control. S in four-player raids because the other three players can spend kits while the room is already melting. Worse as a solo quest runner if the kit wants you to stand still.

A — keep on a new account

Close-range fighter (red-hood student lane). Easy dummy test, easy quests, slightly worse into raid AoE. Perfect first lock if you have no S and you just redeemed codes.

Summon / pressure (spiky-hair shikigami lane). Extra bodies help in co-op because they soak mechanics your thumbs will miss. A in raids, B if you cannot see the summons on mobile — check controls.

Blood / burst (magenta-field lane). High quest clear, greedy on resources. A if your Trait feeds it, B if your Trait is already greedy. See traits.

B — playable while you farm spins

Control / manipulator (topknot lane). Strong if the party understands the setup. Weak if you are the only one in voice chat. B as a default, A in a coordinated four-stack from players.

Generic cursed blast. Every incremental ships one. It finishes early enemies and then caps. Keep it for getting started, reroll it when the next code dump lands.

C and D — do not invest

Kits that only look rare. If the combat log shows no extra rule, it is a reskin. C.

Kits that fight the loop. Anything that pauses training, blocks party EXP, or wants a resource you do not have yet is D. Spin off. EXP rate is the genre; a Technique that kills rate is not “high skill,” it is a trap.

How to test a Technique in five minutes

  1. Dummy or open-world enemy. If you cannot feel a difference versus your last kit, it is not S.
  2. One quest fight. If you fail a directed objective, the kit is not quest-legal yet.
  3. One raid phase 1. If you cannot press the kit without eating a telegraph, it is a controls issue or a melee kit in a ranged fight.
  4. Stop. Write the name. Reroll later with a plan, not mid-raid.

Patch warning

UPD 2 is live. If a Technique you locked last month suddenly feels empty, do not panic-reroll until you read the notes and test on a dummy. Studios retune the advertised kits first because those are the ones on the store thumbnail.

Community auto roll tools that stop on “any S name” from another game’s Trello will miss these lanes entirely. Rank by job: nuke, pressure, fighter, summon, burst, control.

When the Technique is locked, go back to the tier list hub and pick the Clan that does not sabotage it. Then take the pair to how to play so you actually train with it instead of staring at the roll menu.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

I rolled the cyan-eye sorcerer kit. Keep?

Yes if it plays like a long-range nuke. Lock it and support it with a sustain Clan — see clans and best builds.

Is the volcanic cursed spirit beginner friendly?

It is S in a party and awkward solo. New accounts may prefer the fighter lane on getting started.

Should I copy a YouTube S list?

Only if the video is recorded in Candescent's place. Most lists are for another idle. Stay on this page and rolling.

Technique or Trait first?

Technique. The rolling guide is strict about that order.
