Jujutsu Incremental How to Roll Techniques, Clans, and Traits

Keep-rules for the three slots that actually decide raids, quests, and EXP rate.

Rolling Guide

Rolling is the gacha spine of Jujutsu Incremental. Candescent Games tells you to roll rare Techniques, Clans, and Traits. Those three words are not flavor. They are three independent slots. This guide is how to spend spins from Settings codes, quests, and regular play without turning a lucky dump into three mismatched pieces.

If you want letter ranks, open the tier list and the child pages for techniques, clans, and traits. This page is the decision tree you use while the roll animation is still on screen.

The only order that matters

Technique → Clan → Trait.

Technique is the kit you press on a dummy and on a raid boss. Clan is the passive that runs while you are a passenger in a four-player stack. Trait is the rule that multiplies or sabotages the first two. Rolling Trait first is how beginners lock a “cool rare” that fights their later Technique.

Spend a code dump in that order even if the Traits button is closer on mobile. Controls will not save you from a bad tap, but the session checklist will.

Keep-rules (UPD 2)

Use these rules unless a best builds loadout says you are hunting a named trio.

Technique

  • Keep S immediately. Build the account around it. See techniques.
  • Keep A on a new account. You can hunt S later with more codes.
  • Keep B only if you understand the kit in a dummy fight and you have no more spins today.
  • Never keep C/D “for collection” on your main slot. Collection is how raids wipe.

Match the Technique to an identity: sorcerers or cursed spirits. A disaster-flame cursed spirit Technique on a sustain sorcerer Clan is a mixed message.

Clan

  • Keep a Clan that is on all the time. Raid nights include downtime. Passives that only fire on a perfect timing window are worse in an incremental.
  • Keep Clans that help the party, not just your montage. Co-op is official.
  • Reroll Clans that steal HP from allies, empty your Technique resource, or want a playstyle you already rejected.

Trait

  • Keep Traits that multiply the Technique you already locked.
  • Reroll Traits that want the opposite range (melee Trait on a beam Technique, glass-cannon Trait on an anchor Clan).
  • A “lucky” Trait with no combat text is a cosmetic. Treat it as C until you prove otherwise in a raid log.

When to stop spinning

Stopping is a skill. Stop when:

  • You have an A or S Technique and an A Clan, even if Trait is B.
  • You are about to queue with friends. Do not make four people watch you spin.
  • You are tilting after a wipe. Wipes are raid information, not roll information.
  • UPD 2 just dropped and you have not read the notes. Kits move. Spinning into a nerf is optional pain.

Do not stop when a stranger in chat says your A-tier is “trash” because their screenshot is a different Roblox game.

Currency sources

Rolls arrive from:

  • Settings codes — how to redeem.
  • Quest exclusive rewards — quests.
  • Regular play and maybe raid loot.
  • Never from leaving the Candescent Games group. Keep the group EXP boost on; EXP is how you reach the next roll faucet.

If a GUI offers “infinite rolls” or “free gamepass rolls,” that is auto roll territory and a ban conversation. This guide assumes legal currency.

Practical rolling session

  1. Open the checklist and redeem codes.
  2. Fight a dummy with your current Technique so you remember what “better” feels like.
  3. Spin Technique until keep-rule hits.
  4. Spin Clan until it supports that Technique.
  5. Spin Trait only if you still have currency.
  6. Take the trio into a quest, not immediately into the hardest raid.

Write the trio down. Accounts that “had something good last week” and rerolled it anyway are the reason this page exists.

For first-hour context, return to getting started. For the loop that feeds rolls, stay on how to play.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What should I roll first?

Technique, then Clan, then Trait. Ranks live on the tier list. New accounts can park on A-tier — see getting started.

Should I use a script to auto-roll?

It is a ToS risk and often compiled for a different jujutsu idle. Read auto roll before you even consider it.

I hit S Technique and C Clan. Now what?

Keep the Technique. Spend remaining spins on Clan. Do not reroll S because the Clan is ugly.

Do codes give rolls?

Often. Redeem them in Settings — how to redeem — then spend them with this keep-rule, not at random.
